Pencil Urchin (Eucidaris tribuloides)

Pencil Urchins are not especially reef safe because they can damage corals when they move through the tank. They are omnivores so they do a great job in cleaning up leftover food and are peaceful. Their spines are sharp so be careful in handling. pencil urchins may rasp coralline algae and can disturb delicate sessile invertebrates.
